The car is basically as it was when he purchased it. He had a new dash put in and the top system overhauled. I inherited the car in July 2000, near its 40th birthday. Though it hadn't been run much in recent years, it started fairly easily and ran well around my neighborhood. I've repainted the interior panels, redone the brakes and put on new hoses. Though several areas have been redone, it's never been 'restored'. I have a new top ready to install and hopefully it'll get new wide whites in the spring. It now (9/30/2004) has 151,000 miles and is driven whenever the sun shines.

From the old business cards found under the center console, I'd guess the car was purchased at Beverly Hills Ford. I’d love to know more about its history before 1978, but I doubt I’ll be able to figure it out.
